The first teaser trailer for Toy Story 5 landed recently, providing a glimpse into the storyline but leaving fans curious how it will address the ending of Toy Story 4. The Latest Addition: A Frog-Shaped Tablet Frightens the Gang The preview reveals the young girl — who received Andy's toys when he left for college — receiving a latest plaything, one that alarms Woody, Buzz, and the crew. Bonnie gets her first tablet computer, and she is thrilled about it. Presumably, the amphibian-inspired device will animate just like Bonnie's other toys. However, the characters appear to consider it as a threat intending to supplant them, which it probably is. Woody's Return: Unanswered Questions from Toy Story 4 One thing the teaser avoids is why the sheriff is returned with his companions in Bonnie's room. The end of Toy Story 4 depicted him embark on a new adventure with the shepherdess (the actress), traveling with a carnival and helping prize toys locate loving owners. Surely, the filmmakers will explain the consequences of Toy Story 4 in the film. Seeing him show up in the familiar setting without warning is a little strange, however. It also raises questions whether Bo Peep will have returned with Woody. And what about the stuntman toy (the star)? Connections from the Last Installment At the very least, some aspects are carrying over from the prior film. The final act the cowboy did before setting off for his fresh path was hand over his sheriff badge to the cowgirl (Joan Cusack), leaving her in charge of Bonnie's bedroom. In the teaser displays the badge attached to her outfit. Hopefully she is remains the driving force among the toys. Toy Story 5 debuts on the scheduled date.
